DESCRIPTION

Climate change, plastic pollution and ecological breakdown are a clear and present danger to the wellbeing of our kids.

As conscious parents, grandparents and educators, the most important thing we can do is to talk to our kids about the state of our planet. By helping kids understand climate change and how it affects their health and futures, we empower them to make a difference.

But, we understand keeping up with all things climate can be confusing, overwhelming and daunting. Not everyone is comfortable talking about it and many don’t know how to begin the conversation. We’re here to tell you that that needn’t be the case.

Join us for a guided, hands-on workshop to learn and practice strategies to have fun, meaningful eco-conversations with your kids, everyday. You’ll be surprised to see how simple chats can help them to become empathetic and proud stewards of the planet at a young age!

One recent participant said, “I didn’t think just talking about climate change would be so impactful. I now realize climate action starts with a simple conversation.”

Another participant said, “the reflection, practice and discussion Anu led us through provided me with more confidence to engage others in a personal dialogue about our changing climate.…As seniors we may not see the results of efforts to slow the warming of our planet but we have children and grandchildren depending on us to take action now. Climate Cafes are not threatening ways to bring about this change.”

No climate knowledge necessary. Conversations over coffee and cookies are always more fun!
