KAT KID ADVENTURE

Dear Teachers and Parents,

We did it!

Thanks to you, students at Fairmeadow Elementary, Hoover Elementary and Duveneck Elementary, successfully completed the FLIP THE SWITCH Challenge to conserve electricity.  Can you guess how many flips the students did in just one week?

A WHOPPING 20,000+ FLIPS!

Duveneck students got 3,000+ flips, Fairmeadow students got 4,000+ flips and Hoover students got an incredible 12,000+ flips. That’s a lot of electricity saved in just a week!

We sincerely hope this is just the beginning of a wonderful eco-habit – for both, the little kids, and the entire family!

Through the Challenge, students learned about global warming, renewable energy and ways they can reduce their own electricity usage. They received hard copies of the Kat Kid Adventure Post, Energy Edition — an eco-magazine filled with fun facts, news and inspiring stories of eco heroes from around the world.

Below is a fun eco-quiz to recap all that they learnt! Take this ECO-QUIZ with your kiddo at home and enjoy an eco-chat. All answers are in the magazine, click here to download a digital version.
